Studying in Canada can open significant academic and professional doors. What matters is choosing an institution and a programme suited to your profile, your budget and your goals, while checking the possibilities for work after graduation from the outset.
A Canadian credential can be a real asset in a career plan and, where the conditions are met, in a longer-term immigration strategy. A study permit nevertheless remains temporary status: the Post-Graduation Work Permit is not automatic, and permanent residence is never guaranteed. A study permit application can be refused where the officer is not satisfied as to the coherence of the plan, the financial capacity, or compliance with the conditions of a temporary stay. No. Studying at a designated learning institution does not guarantee eligibility for the PGWP. Eligibility depends on the institution, the programme followed, the length of study and, depending on the situation, on language requirements and requirements tied to the field of study. We check these criteria before recommending a programme where the PGWP forms part of your plan.
